Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is trying to copy the style of Narendra Modi. KPCC president V M Sudheeran also commented that Pinarayi Vijayan is following the example of Narendra Modi by keeping away from the media.
Sudheeran said while Narendra Modi is trying to bring about communal fascism in the country Pinarayi Vijayan is trying to introduce political fascism.
Sudheeran said recently that almost all the chief ministers used to meet the media at least once in a week for Cabinet briefing.
However, Pinarayi Vijayan has discontinued this practice.
Sudheeran said t it is not a good decision as the Chief Minister is answerable to people.

Congress leaders had criticised the Chief Minister’s comment to the media following the arrest of the two Dalit women in Thalassery, which snowballed into a controversy.
When the media asked the Chief Minister for his comments, he said the question should be posed to the police. Congress leaders alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan’s reaction showed his “intolerance”.
Interestingly, when the matter was raised in the state assembly on Tuesday by the opposition parties, the Chief Minister explained that the two women were sent to jail because they did not apply for bail.
