Madeley added that Johnson had described the potential minerals deal between the US and Ukraine as a “game-changer” that could reaffirm America’s involvement in the conflict. He also noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had suggested he might be willing to step down if it would secure peace.

This is not the first time Johnson has abruptly exited a Good Morning Britain interview. In 2019, during his tenure as Prime Minister, he was infamously accused of “hiding in a fridge” to evade an unscheduled interview with the programme.
