Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 22.90 crore), RBL Bank(number of shares traded: 6.85 crore), Alok Industries(number of shares traded: 4.99 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.36 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.75 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.67 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.24 crore), Eternal(number of shares traded: 2.04 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.70 crore) and Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.41 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 52.55 points up at 24178.1, while BSE Sensex was up 193.73 points at 79602.23 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Eternal Ltd.(up 2.78 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent) and Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.45 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.95 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.76 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
