Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 31.44 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 13.88 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 4.82 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.91 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 3.78 crore), Eternal(number of shares traded: 3.20 crore), Ujjivan SFB(number of shares traded: 2.28 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.06 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.92 crore) and GAIL(number of shares traded: 1.86 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:16AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 258.05 points up at 24109.7, while BSE Sensex was up 822.14 points at 79375.34 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 5.20 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 3.88 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.83 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.38 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 3.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
