5 new games added to Apple Arcade, including What The Clash. Check out the list here

Five new games are set to arrive on Apple Arcade starting May 1. Among them is WHAT THE CLASH?, a chaotic multiplayer experience that blends mini-games like table tennis, archery, racing, and tag. Developed by Triband, it follows their offbeat racer WHAT THE CAR?, which picked up the Mobile Game of the Year award at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Awards.

Other titles include My Buddy, a pet simulation where players care for virtual cats and dogs, and LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+, an endless runner set in the LEGO Friends universe. Puzzle and word game fans can try Words of Wonders: Search+, a word search title, or SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+, which features characters like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi. These additions expand Apple Arcade’s catalog of over 200 games, all playable without ads or in-app purchases.

What The Clash? By Triband

This offbeat party game lets players go solo or face off against friends in head-to-head matchups. The gameplay centers around collecting and combining modifier cards to trigger unexpected mini-games—think giraffe-themed challenges, chaotic archery rounds, or unusual mashups like "milk the fish." Matches are unpredictable, with new card combos adding a layer of surprise each time.

Players take control of "The Hand," a bendy, two-legged hand that can be customized with a wide range of items including eye patches, earrings, and dresses. With simple touch controls and a focus on playful competition, the game encourages both strategic play and silly antics as players try to outmaneuver—and out-weird—their opponents in fast-paced rounds.

My Buddy is a simulation game centered around caring for virtual dogs and cats, each with distinct personalities and appearances. Players can interact with their pets, dress them in various outfits, and customize their living spaces. As the animals grow, the game offers a sense of progression through different life stages, focusing on building a consistent bond over time. Designed for casual play, it allows players to check in on their pets and spend time with them whenever they like.

LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+ by StoryToys

Set in Heartlake City, LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+ is a fast-paced racing game featuring characters like Aliya, Autumn, Nova, Leo, and Liann. Players can customize their vehicles with a variety of colors, decals, tires, and other visual elements. As they navigate through the city’s bright and busy streets, they’ll avoid obstacles, collect items, and complete missions to unlock new in-game content.

Words of Wonders: Search+ by Fugo Games

Words of Wonders: Search+ is a word search game where players find hidden words on a grid while progressing through levels themed around global landmarks and topics. As the game advances, players encounter new vocabulary and increasingly challenging puzzles, combining casual gameplay with a light educational element.

SUMI SUMI : Matching Puzzle+ by Imagineer

SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+ is a puzzle game featuring characters from San-X, including Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi. The game uses simple tap-to-match mechanics, with players progressing through various themed maps. Designed to be both engaging and calming, it blends light strategy with visually appealing, character-driven gameplay aimed at fans of casual puzzle games.

Several existing Apple Arcade titles are also set to receive content updates this month. Games like Hello Kitty Island Adventure, PGA TOUR Pro Golf, and WHAT THE CAR? will introduce new features or additions, continuing to expand their gameplay experiences. These updates will be available across all supported Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
