According to a statement issued by Eastern Railway said that around 5000 people obstructed train movement near Dhulianganga station on the Azimganj-New Farakka section of Eastern Railway.
The protestors also blocked Kamakhya-Puri express at Dhulianganga at Malda division. Police contingent and RAF was deployed in Suti to bring the situation under control.

Amtala turned into a war zone with the minority community vandalizing the police vehicles and the situation reportedly turned violent.

Similar protest by the minority community was organized in Kolkata's Park Circus area.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Suvendu adhikari claimed that Hindus were attacked in various parts of the state.
Calling it a planned attack, Adhikari said, "I urged the people to fight against the attack together and stand against it. Radha Krishna temples have been vandalized. Hindu devotees were attacked near Tarakeswar temple in Hooghly. Similar incidents have been reported. Hindus have been attacked in Dhuliyan areaas well.".
"Murshidabad is the epicentre of trouble and jihadis. Fresh incidents have erupted in Jangipur," Adhikari said, urging the Hindus to move to safe Hindu majority areas.
He also spoke about Samserganj area where the Hindus were attacked.
"I would urge the judiciary and senior advocates about theThis incident From Mothabari to Dhuliyan, Amtala to Tamluk-it has been done in the name of Waqf protest. Proper steps should be taken. I would urge the Hindu society and everyone has the right to self defence," Adhikari noted.
Meanwhile, state Minister Firhad Hakim said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called a meeting with the imams on Waqf next week.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari on Friday visited clash-hit Mothabari area in West Bengal's Malda district and met some families that were affected by recent clashes between two groups, taking Calcutta High Court permission.
Adhikari said, "Around 86 houses and shops were attacked. I am thankful to the High court for allowing me to visit Mothabari. I am going to meet the families, to stand by them. Why Hindu houses will be attacked?"
