ET MSME Awards 2024: Meet the nominees vying for India’s Top Exporter of the Year Award

The prestigious ET MSME Awards is back in its fifth edition to celebrate the vibrant spirit of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

The ET MSME Awards 2024 will honour outstanding MSMEs, setting inspiring examples for future business leaders. Since its inception in 2020, the ET MSME Awards has grown bigger and bigger. This year, the ET MSME Awards has attracted more than 15,000 entries from small businesses that have distinguished themselves in their respective fields, a significant increase from 8,000 entries in 2022.

The final list of nominees for the awards was determined after sifting through numerous entries, documentation, and a comprehensive evaluation. The winners for the 22 categories will be felicitated on March 20, 2025 (Thursday), at a mega on-ground event in the capital.

Among the various categories, one of the significant categories has been India’s Top Exporter of the Year. This category is aimed at recognising and honouring exporters in the manufacturing, services, and trading sectors. Let’s take a detailed look at the nominees in each of these categories.

Aerolex Cables is a leading manufacturer and exporter of wires, cables, and conductors for demanding and technically challenging applications. Its product range includes PVC and rubber submersible pump cables, welding cables, auto and battery cables, low-voltage power and control cables, single-core flexible cables, multi-core flexible cables, earthing cables, earthing conductors, cables for solar and wind power, cables for metro coaches, etc.

Established in 1999, Prevest DenPro Limited is a manufacturer of dental materials. The company has grown to become an international player, exporting to over 80 countries. It offers a wide range of products used in various dental applications, including endodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, restorative dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, and dental prostheses fabrication.

Romsons International was established in December 2009 in the Noida Special Economic Zone, Noida. It is engaged in disposable medical and surgical devices and has one of the largest product portfolios in the industry (120 products in over 450 sizes). Romsons is a global player with a presence in over 80 countries and has a retail footprint across geographies with 1,000-plus distributors in India and abroad.

Incorporated in 2016, Veko Care operates in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. Its facility is accredited by WHO and TPA (Australia). Veko manufactures veterinary medicines in various dosage forms, including tablets, oral paste, external powders, liquids, medicated shampoos, ear drops, and boluses for cattle, livestock, poultry, horses, cats, and dogs.

Services
Asian Consulting Engineers, incorporated on December 8, 2005, specialises in comprehensive water and environmental solutions. It offers expert consulting services dedicated to infrastructure, industrial, and social development projects. The company has its global footprint in countries such as Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guyana, Kuwait, Nepal, Zambia, and many more.

Viha Digital Commerce provides technologically advanced business solutions. It also offers web development services. The company’s qualified talent pool ensures accessibility and scale to match the clients’ customised solutions. The company’s services cover each stage of the IT infrastructure spectrum, from consultation to packaged and cloud hosting, as well as a range of other industry-standard technology services.

Alethea Communications Technologies is a leading provider of Wi-Fi testing products and services, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions designed to meet the evolving demands of the Wi-Fi ecosystem. Alethea has built a strong market presence with profitable and expanding operations. It is an active member of several prominent industry and technical forums, including TEPC, Wi-Fi Alliance, BBF, and WBA, where it plays a key role in advancing wireless communication technologies. The company also holds a patent for video streaming testing.

Trading
Established in 2016, AGS Foods India operates globally, specialising in the trading of basmati and non-basmati rice, pulses, and spices. It is based out of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and has offices in Singapore, Benin, Madagascar, Mozambique, and Dubai.

Established in 2010 and headquartered in Mumbai, Quality Biz Chem India trades in agrochemicals in India and internationally. It trades with a focus on superior technical grades and formulation products with customised labelling and packaging solutions. The company specialises in sourcing and supplying a wide range of agrochemical products, including insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, fumigants, and intermediates.

Quality Chrome Pvt. Ltd is one of the eminent exporters of high-quality ferroalloys, specialising in ferrochrome and expanding the range to other ferroalloys like ferromanganese, and silicomanganese. Since its inception, the company has focused on delivering premium-grade materials to international markets, ensuring compliance with global industry standards. The company has expanded its market presence globally, positioning Indian-grade ferro alloys as a preferred choice for industries worldwide.

After careful assessments, discussions and a thorough understanding of the shortlisted MSMEs, the jury last week selected the winners for the 22 categories of the ET MSME Awards 2024.
