No Bail for Chinmoy Das: Bangladesh Court rejects former ISKCON monk's bail for second time
A Bangladesh court has again denied bail to former ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das. Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Saiful Islam pronounced the decision amid heightened security in 30 minutes. 11 Supreme Court lawyers represented Das under the banner of Ainjibi Oikya Parishad. They have demanded bail on grounds of a fabricated case and Das suffering from diabetes and respiratory problems. Earlier court hearings were postponed after lawyers appearing for Das were threatened.
