Attorneys general from 18 states sued US President Donald Trump on Tuesday to block his executive order on Birthright citizenship. The order refuses to recognise US.-born children of unauthorised immigrants as citizens. San Francisco and Washington, D.C were among the complainants in Federal District Court in Massachusetts. New Jersey’s attorney general Matthew J. Platkin led the legal effort along with the attorneys general from California and Massachusetts.
