
Mexican Navy’s war on Sinaloa Cartel: Lab destroyed; drug boat seized in dramatic high-speed chase
In a high-stakes operation, the Mexican Navy delivered a major blow to the Sinaloa Cartel on January 15. The Navy uncovered and destroyed a clandestine drug lab in Sinaloa, seizing 15 kilograms of synthetic drugs and a vast array of chemicals and equipment used for drug production. Simultaneously, the Navy intercepted and seized 2.19 tons of cocaine after engaging in a dramatic high-speed chase off the coast of Cabo San Lucas.
