Dan Bongino: When new FBI deputy director exposed Secret Service's failures at Trump rally shooting
Dan Bongino, a former New York City police officer and Secret Service agent turned right-wing pundit and podcaster, will be the next deputy director of the FBI, President Donald Trump said Sunday night. Bongino, in a statement posted on social media Monday, praised FBI staff members as “dedicated people” who “deserve leadership that will back them up, protect their mission and ensure they can do their jobs.” The combination of Kash Patel as FBI Director and Bongino will represent the least experienced leadership pair in the bureau’s history. At the hearing of the Task Force on the assassination attempt of Donald Trump, Bongino exposed the Secret Service's failures at the Butler rally.
