Jr NTR to work with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar? Actor drops big hint

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Jr NTR’s next project. For a long time, there were rumours that the RRR actor could work with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar. Now, Jr NTR has indirectly confirmed the news. The project will be produced by Naga Vamsi.

The news comes just weeks after Nelson Dilipkumar announced that Jailer 2 was officially in production.

Jr NTR on Nelson Dilipkumar-Naga Vamsi film

At the success bash of his brother-in-law Nithin’s film Mad Square, Jr NTR talked about his future projects. The Temper star appeared to indirectly confirm that he was doing a film with Naga Vamsi and Nelson Dilipkumar.

“If I talk about Vamsi too much, maybe he'll get dishti (nazar). He has gotten used to good happening to him. We're about to do something soon. He will announce it soon when he can. The day we announce it, I'll let Vamsi deal with you,” the actor said, as quoted by Pinkvilla.

According to reports, the movie is expected to be "a one-of-a-kind action film.” It will go on floors in the second half of 2026.

Jr NTR confirms Devara 2

The actor also put an end to speculation about Devara 2. Jr NTR stated that he will start the film after he finishes his project with Prashanth Neel. Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, featured Jr NTR in a double role. The movie also starred Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Saif Ali Khan.

War 2 and other upcoming Jr NTR films

The Simhadri star will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 opposite Hrithik Roshan. It is speculated that Jr NTR could essay the role of the main antagonist. Kiara Advani also has a pivotal role in the movie. War 2 will be released on August 14 this year.

Apart from that, Jr NTR is filming Prashanth Neel’s next. This will be the director’s first project after his 2023 blockbuster Salaar. The film is expected to release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with Pongal. As per reports, the first look and title and first look of the NTR-Neel film could be revealed on May 20 this year.

Nelson Dilipkumar’s upcoming projects

As for Nelson Dilipkumar, the Beast director is busy with Jailer 2. Rajinikanth will reprise his role as Muthuvel Pandian in the movie. Sun Pictures revealed the shooting of the film had started three weeks ago.


Apart from Jailer 2, Nelson Dilipkumar has a movie with Dhanush in the works.
