Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.18% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:16AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.

Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.26 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.76 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.18 per cent at 862.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.75 points at 23583.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 61.89 points at 77544.54.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, NHPC, YES Bank and Capri Global were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of ITC Hotels, Shree Cements, JK Cement, Navin Fluorine and UPL (PP)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IOB, Future Supply Chain, Sanco Industries, Suumaya Lifestyle and Rolta India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
