On Wednesday, Nifty formed a small red candle near the 100-Day Exponential Moving Average (DEMA), indicating strong resistance around 24,470-24,500. If the index holds above 24,500, it could extend gains toward the 24,600¨C24,700 range, with key support at 24,070.
Nifty closed lower on Wednesday after a two-day gain. A sell-off in the later half of the session erased the morning gains as the star performers of the previous two days i.e. banks came under profit-taking.

US stocks subdued at open as investors weigh earnings, data
U.S. stock indexes were subdued at the open on Wednesday, as investors assessed mixed earnings reports and data that showed the economy maintained a solid pace of growth in the third quarter.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 16.8 points, or 0.04%, at the open to 42249.81. The S&P 500 fell 0.3 points at the open to 5832.65, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 18.9 points, or 0.10%, to 18731.694 at the opening bell.

Chinese EV maker BYD Q3 Results: Net profit up 11.5% to 11.6 bn yuan, revenue beats Tesla for first time
Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD posted an 11.5% rise in third-quarter net profit on Wednesday as it maintained strong sales momentum helped by government trade-in incentives.
Net profit rose to 11.6 billion yuan ($1.63 billion) in the July-September quarter, the company said in a stock exchange filing. For the first nine months, net profit was up 18.1% to 25.2 billion yuan.
With third-quarter revenue up 24% on year to 201.1 billion yuan ($28.24 billion), BYD's quarterly revenue for the first time outpaced Tesla, whose revenue for the July-September quarter reached $25.2 billion.
Tesla still beat BYD in terms of EV sales globally during July to September.
Net profit rose to 11.6 billion yuan ($1.63 billion) in the July-September quarter, the company said in a stock exchange filing. For the first nine months, net profit was up 18.1% to 25.2 billion yuan.
With third-quarter revenue up 24% on year to 201.1 billion yuan ($28.24 billion), BYD's quarterly revenue for the first time outpaced Tesla, whose revenue for the July-September quarter reached $25.2 billion.
Tesla still beat BYD in terms of EV sales globally during July to September.

Swiggy says unaffected by urban demand slump; launches Rs 11,330-cr share sale
Food delivery app Swiggy on Wednesday launched a Rs 11,330-crore initial share sale, asking investors to take a pie of Indian middle class' rising propensity of online ordering. The company, which is present in over 650 cities and towns of the country, is launching the initial public offering (IPO) amid heightened concerns on urban demand slump, and the management stressed that it is unaffected by the broader trends in the economy.
"We are also reading about it, but we are not seeing that yet in the business... So far, we have not seen the impact of demand on our business," its chief financial officer Rahul Bothra said.

Godavari Biorefineries makes disappointing market debut; shares settle nearly 3% lower
Shares of ethanol and bio-based chemicals maker Godavari Biorefineries Ltd on Wednesday ended with a discount of nearly 3 per cent against the issue price of Rs 352. The stock made its debut at Rs 310.55, a decline of 11.77 per cent from the issue price on the BSE. During the day, it lost 12.48 per cent to Rs 308.05. Shares of the firm ended at Rs 342.85 apiece, down 2.59 per cent.
On the NSE, shares of the firm listed at Rs 308, down 12.5 per cent. The stock later ended at Rs 343.90 each, down 2.30 per cent.

Dabur to acquire ayurvedic product maker Sesa Care for Rs 315-325 cr
Home-grown FMCG and Ayurvedic products maker Dabur on Wednesday announced the acquisition of Sesa Care, engaged in the Ayurvedic personal care and wellness segment, at an enterprise value of Rs 315-325 crore. This new acquisition will help Dabur to expand in the Rs 900 crore ayurvedic hair oil market, the company said in a regulatory filing.
It has entered into an agreement to acquire the majority 51 per cent stake from its shareholder True North (a private equity fund) for Rs 12 crore at face value.

The board of Dabur today, along with its second quarter results for the fiscal year 2025, announced an interim dividend of Rs 2.75 per share for the company¡¯s shareholders, fixing November 8 as the record date for the purpose.
¡°Pursuant to Regulations 30 and 43 of the Listing Regulations, we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting held today have declared Interim Dividend of Rs. 2.75 per equity share having face value of Re. 1/- each (i.e., 275%) for the financial year 2024-25.
