Actor Naga Chaitanya recently shared a series of pictures from his relaxed Sunday at home, featuring his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala, and his pet dog, Hash. While the post was intended as a glimpse into his personal life, it quickly sparked reactions online, with many fans focusing on Hash’s connection to Chaitanya’s ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Posting three pictures, Naga Chaitanya captioned the post, “Sunday everything’s.” The first photo showed Hash, his pet dog, looking down from a staircase. In the second image, Sobhita Dhulipala and Hash were seen lying on the floor in a similar pose, while the final picture captured Hash accompanying Chaitanya as he worked on his car.

Despite the adorable nature of the photos, some fans focused solely on Hash’s association with Samantha. Comments like “Daddy and the son” and “Hash is back” flooded the post, while several users repeatedly pointed out, “That’s Sam’s dog.” One user joked, “Like chay...hash is also a divorced child,” highlighting how deeply some followers remain attached to Chaitanya and Samantha’s past.

Chaitanya’s Journey After Divorce

Chaitanya and Samantha finalized their divorce in 2022 after being married since 2017. Their wedding was a grand two-day affair in Goa, celebrated with both Hindu and Christian traditions. Speculation about their separation had started earlier in 2021 when Samantha removed 'Akkineni' from her social media handles. Following their divorce, they continued to co-parent Hash.

Since parting ways, Chaitanya began dating actress Sobhita Dhulipala in 2022. The couple got married in a private ceremony at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on December 4, 2024. Chaitanya has previously stated that Sobhita had no involvement in his divorce, making it clear that their relationship blossomed afterward.

Talking about his new chapter, Chaitanya shared in a conversation with Hindustan Times, “Married life is great! I’m totally enjoying it. It’s just been a couple of months. I think we both invest equally in work and away from work; so, we have that work-life balance very much intact. I think that’s one of the qualities we both really connected on also.”

He also highlighted the cultural connection between him and Sobhita, saying, “You know, we are both from Andhra. She is from Vizag and I love Vizag. Our roots are similar though we are not from the same cities and so, culturally, there was a lot of connect. And, obviously, the love for cinema, the love for this art form. I think both of us are just so curious about life, which got us going. Many conversations sort of started around that for us. And we love travelling as well."

Professionally, Naga Chaitanya was last seen in Thandel, co-starring Sai Pallavi. During the trailer launch in Vizag, he shared a heartfelt moment about his wife’s roots, stating, “Vizag is so close to my heart that I fell in love with a Vizag girl and married her. Now, there’s a piece of Vizag in my home too. Even in my household, the ruling party is Vizag. So, brothers, I have a small request—Thandel should rock Vizag’s box office; otherwise, I’ll lose my honour at home. Please!"

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is preparing for her upcoming role in Raj & DK’s Netflix web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, continuing her successful journey in the entertainment industry.
